Subject-tuned · Privacy-first · BYO API key

Turn a topic into an arguable claim.

Most thesis generators hand back the same fill-in-the-blank sentence, regardless of whether you're writing a history argument, a biology hypothesis, or a literary reading. Claimcraft picks a discipline-native structure, runs an arguability check before showing you anything, and lets you calibrate to your own voice.

This is a brainstorming aid. Revise in your own words before submitting. No essay-writing service affiliates.

The assignment
The subject of your paper — a phrase, not a question.
Optional but strongly recommended. A stance produces an arguable thesis; a topic alone tends to produce a summary.
Optional. Anchoring the thesis to something specific prevents the generic fill-in-the-blank output.
Optional. Helps the thesis match your vocabulary and sentence length — reduces the "my thesis sounds like someone else" problem.

Privacy

Claimcraft is a static web page. It stores nothing on our end. Your API key, topic, and any text you paste are sent only to the model provider you select (OpenAI or Anthropic) from your own browser. We do not proxy, log, or retain requests.

If you wish, your API key is kept in your browser's session storage so it persists while the tab is open and is cleared when you close it. Nothing is ever written to disk by this site.

About Claimcraft

Claimcraft was built around a simple premise: a thesis that describes instead of argues is a thesis that will fail the "is this an argument?" test. Our pipeline applies discipline-native structures — causal claims for history, null/alternative hypotheses for biology, interpretive frameworks for literature — and performs an arguability check before showing anything to you.

We take no money from essay-writing services or contract-cheating vendors.
